The quaint but proud lady from the Victorian era has been lovingly restored. The inside walls have been brush lettered in a
uniquely designed alphabet and original calligraphic pieces by international and national lettering artists are displayed on the walls. Crisp linen invites you to bed in summer and
warm duvets invite you to linger longer in winter.
Die Letterhuis is situated between more than 33 letter art installations in the Karoo landscape along the breathtakingly beautiful riverside
in the Poplar woods. You are most welcome to come and experience God's beauty.

Die Letterhuis has three rooms and can sleep six guests. It runs on solar. It has a small but fully equipped kitchen ( Gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster) a sunny bathroom with a spacious shower, a living room and a stoep with a mobile braai drum. No wi-fi, but guests are welcome to connect at the main house. We love pets, but can unfortunately not accommodate them because of our surrounding wild life.

Guarded by the homestead on the working farm Aswater, die Ou Waenhuis lies nestled next to green pastures and grazing sheep The huge stoep with its built in braai invites you to witness the dawn of a new day This little restored gem has two bedrooms (queen bed and two single beds), an open plan kitchen (fridge/freezer, gas hob and electric oven, toaster, microwave) and lounge, a bathroom with shower, a fire place in the kitcen and a generous 'kuier' stoep and braai area with beautiful views of the farm.
The restorative and inspirational milieu on the working farm Aswater, is the perfect place for a retreat or a family holiday (Bigger groups can use Punta and a Capo as extended accommodation) Younger families are welcome to visit the chickens, feed the horses, watch the cows being milked or take a walk to the sheep.
Guests are invited to take any of the many inspirational walks on the farm either to the dam, the river way, the art routes or the mountains

The ideal getaway. This small one bedroom, open plan house is nestled against the cliff next to the farmstead and has beautiful views from every room. The stoep overlooks a dam, the Swartberg mountains, the Karoo landscape in the West and the cliffs on the North. There is a Weber and guests have access to all the routes from here too
Ou Bloemendal Opstal

The Ou Bloemendal Opstal, situated on the working farm Aswater, dates back to pre 1900. The farm house has four bedrooms and four (inside and outside) bathrooms There are several stoeps around the house that overlook the quaint circular herbarium and the
spectacular Swartberg mountains. It also houses beautiful original calligraphic art pieces. The house is used as accommodation for students attending workshops at the Studio
Die eeu oue opstal met sy dik mure en houtvloere word gebruik as akkommodasie om studente wat die verskillende kursusse, wat regdeur die jaar aangebied word, te huisves. Daar is stoepe reg rondom die huis wat uitkyk oor die majestieuse Swartberge en 'n fraai kruietuintjie. Die vier kamers is heerlik koel in die somer en snoesig warm in die winter.

The campsite has three separate bathrooms (gas and fire), a semi enclosed lapa, a washing up area,
12 volt lighting and a braai area from which you can enjoy the star studded Karoo nights.
